Photo Contest




  • Contest is free to enter & open to any amateur photographer currently living in Alaska

  • Only one photo entry per contestant

  • Only minimal digital editing to the image (no abstract editing)

  • Picture must have been taken within the last year (no photos before April 2020)

  • No photos containing violence, sex, profanity, or direct attacks on any individuals or organizations. Any entries deemed offensive will be disqualified.


Photos will be graded by Digital Blueprint's owners, employees & a panel

of guest judges made up of local artists and photographers. 


Judging criteria:

  • Impact

            The "wow" factor. The image is striking and stays with you.


  • Creativity/Originality

            The image expresses a clear thought and original idea. The subject matter is                presented in a unique way or from a non-traditional viewpoint.


  • Lighting

            Proper attention has been given to light the subject matter. Any extremes of                  darkness or brightness are done to accent the content.


  • Composition

            The subject of the photo is framed in a meaningful way. Angles and                              perspective are used properly to best capture the content.


  • Technical Quality

            The content is appropriately in focus (unless intentionally out of focus to                        enhance the subject matter). Exposure, white balance and color are used                    appropriately.


Guest Judges



  • 1st Place: 24x36 Photo Mounted to Foam

  • 2nd Place: 18x24 Photo Mounted to Foam

  • 3rd Place: 8x10 Photo Mounted to Foam

1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners* will have their winning photo displayed in the store

and on our website for one month.


All contest participants will receive a voucher for

20% off one print order of $50 or more.

*Winners will be contacted through the phone & email they provide at sign up.
